KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Police have arrested four individuals including an Indian national on the charge of relabeling expired food stuff.
In yet another crackdown on unscrupulous traders, police raided a house full of expired food stuffs in Kalanki, and arrested four individuals on the charge of supplying expired food stuffs to the market.

Acting on a special tip-off, a police team from the Kalimati Metropolitan Police Circle raided a house full of chocolates, bakery items, flour, among other food stuffs in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14. “The smugglers used to relabel the wrappers of the food stuffs,” Deputy Superintendent of Police, Apil Raj Bohora, chief of Kalimati Police, told Republica.
The company storing the expired food items and supplying them to the market after relabeling is SST Pvt Ltd.
Those arrested have been identified as Anil Banka, 52, of India, Ananad Awasthi, 24, Rashmita Shrestha, 26, and Binod Ojha.
In the last few days, police have raided four houses in the Kalanki area and confiscated a huge cache of expired food stuff.
