Police open fire in capital to nab robbery-accused Tamang

KATHMANDU, June 7: A team of police personnel deployed from Metropolitan Crime Division fired a shot at robbery-accused Chhiring Tamang in process of arresting him in the capital on Friday.

KATHMANDU, June 7: A team of police personnel deployed from Metropolitan Crime Division fired a shot at robbery-accused Chhiring Tamang in process of arresting him in the capital on Friday.



The incident took place at 3 pm at Attarakhel area, Jorpati. According to SSP Sahakul Thapa, the robber has received a bullet on his leg. He was admitted to the Trauma Centre for the treatment.

Tamang has been accused of multiple thefts in various parts of the Kathmandu Valley. Meanwhile, police have arrested Nitesh Tamang alias Dharane, Ajay Tamang alias Mundre and Rupesh Chaulagain alias Bahun.
