Police open fire to contain tense situation at two polling stations in Rautahat

RAUTAHAT, Nov 20: Police have fired in the open to contain a tense situation in two separate polling stations in Rautahat. According to the police, shots were fired at Kanakapura polling station and Amarpati polling station in Garuda Municipality of Gujara Municipality 4 of the district.

RAUTAHAT, Nov 20: Police have fired in the open to contain a tense situation in two separate polling stations in Rautahat. According to the police, shots were fired at Kanakapura polling station and Amarpati polling station in Garuda Municipality of Gujara Municipality 4 of the district.



The police fired a round after the argument started outside the polling station in Kanakapura, Gujara.

According to Chief District Officer Krishna Bahadur Shahi, police fired two rounds of gunfire after an argument broke out about keeping police agents inside Amarpati polling station in Garuda.


CDO Shahi said that voting is currently underway peacefully in both the polling centers.
