Police take 18 UDMF cadres into control in Lahan

LAHAN, April 8: Police have taken 18 cadres of the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) into control from Lahan, Siraha when they tried to obstruct a program of CPN-UML on Saturday afternoon.

LAHAN, April 8: Police have taken 18 cadres of the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) into control from Lahan, Siraha when they tried to obstruct a program of CPN-UML on Saturday afternoon.



The UDMF cadres tried to obstruct a rally of the UML as it was moving toward to the Municipal Hall of Lahan Municipality from Pashupati Aadarsha Secondary School. Cadres of the UDMF and the UML clashed in front of the school premises.

According to DSP Hira Bahadur Pandey at the Area Police Office Lahan, Police intervened into the situation and taken some people into control.


The UML has been conducting its scheduled program now amidst tight security while the UDMF cadres are demonstrating against the UML outside the hall.


Parties under the UDMF coalition are demanding for constitution amendment while the UML has been opposing the idea of constitution amendment.
