'Political parties have the responsibility to protect constitution'

KATHMANDU, March 31: CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Jhala Nath Khanal has said that it is the responsibility of the political parties to protect the constitution of the country.

Addressing a program organized on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the Reports Club in Kathmandu on Thursday, Khanal said it was the responsibility of all Nepalis and political parties to protect the country's constitution.


Stating that the new constitution was drafted after completing the democratic revolution, he said that the new constitution was comparatively good. He stressed the need for conducting the upcoming election in a peaceful, free and fair manner.
