KATHMANDU, Jan 14: Popular singer Nishan Bhattarai died in a car accident on Monday night, according to police.
The incident took place when he was returning home towards Koteswor after performing at the Baan Thai Restaurant in the heart of Durbar Marg late Monday.

Bhattarai was critically injured after his speeding car rammed into an electric pole along the highway at Tinkune, according to police.
"He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Trauma Centre, at Bir Hospital," Senior Superintendent of Police Jeeven Kumar Shrestha told Republica Online.
