KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): The departmental teams Tribhuvan Army Club’s Pranab Khanal and Nepal Police Club’s Mayanka Rana have won the singles titles in the ongoing 10th Sahabir Memorial Open Lawn Tennis Tournament on Friday.

In men’s final played at the Armed Police Force headquarters in Halchowk, Khanal defeated Lalitpur’s Jitendra Pariyar 7-5, 3-6, 6-0, while Rana defeated her sister Mahika 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. The winners Khanal and Mayanka were rewarded with Rs 60,000 each, while the runner-ups Pariyar and Mahika received Rs 50,000 each.
