President pardons 465 inmates

KATHMANDU, Sept 29: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has commuted the remaining terms of the sentence of 456 inmates on the occasion of the Bada Dashain 2074. 



The President pardoned the remaining term of this many inmates on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers. 



The Office of the President stated that the Head-of –the-State granted pardon as per Article 276 of the Constitution of Nepal, as it was appropriate to commute the remaining terms of these inmates because of their good conduct in accordance with Rule 29 sub-rule 1 and 2 of the Prison Regulations, 2020; the Prison Management Procedures, 2073 and the Procedures Related to Commuting and Pardoning of the Prison Term, 2071.(RSS)
