Prez Bhandari attends reception organized to mark Human Rights Day

KATHMANDU, Dec 10: President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Saturday attended a reception organized by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on the occasion of the 68th Human Rights Day.

KATHMANDU, Dec 10: President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Saturday attended a reception organized by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on the occasion of the 68th Human Rights Day. 



Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, heads of constitutional bodies, ministers, lawmakers, heads of diplomatic missions in Nepal, ambassadors and chiefs of security bodies were also present on the occasion. 



On the occasion, Chief Secretary Somlal Subedi said that Nepal has been expressing its commitment to human rights at the national and international kevel. 



Subedi said that Nepal has been launching constitutional, legal, policy-level programs to implement the international conventions related to human rights. 



The Universal Declaration on Human Rights was issued on December 10, 1948. This year's Human Rights Day was observed under the theme, "Stand up for someone's rights today." RSS
