People’s trust in the offices of the President and Vice President is decreasing due to ‘extravagant spending’ by these institutions, they argued.

In the meeting, Singh said the privileges provided to and expenses made by the Office of Vice President including that in vehicles and fuels should be cut, and the budget saved from this should be spent on health and education. Services and facilities given to the Vice President are enough, he viewed. In another context, Suwal was of the view that the President and Vice President should not endorse any bills that have reached them by avoiding the House procedures.
