KATHMANDU, June 16: Media personality Rabi Lamichhane has announced his plan to join politics. Lamichhane has decided to leave his career as a media person and enter politics. Lamichhane is set to contest the upcoming federal elections from Kathmandu.
Making the announcement of his plan to enter politics through Facebook on Thursday, Lamichhane said that he would give formal information on this by holding a program at the City Hall at 1PM on June 27.

Stating that politics is the most decisive sector, he said that he would seek the answers to the public’s questions through politics.
"This is not my dream, desire, wish, ambition, revolution, etc. Please take this as my effort to pay back to society. My journey forward will be in the field of politics," he said.
"Now, I want to take my voice from the TV screen to parliament," said Lamichhane
