KATHMANDU, March 11: Rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely in some parts of the country today. This is due to the effect of westerly winds, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
There will be partial to normal rain in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces and partial rain in the rest of the region. There is also the possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountain regions of the two provinces.

However, in the night the weather will be clear in the hilly areas and partly cloudy in the rest of the country.
The minimum temperature of Kathmandu today is 8.8 and maximum is 26 degrees Celsius, says the Weather Forecast Division of the Department.
