'Refreshment Rooms' into operation

DOTI, Oct 11: Police have set up 'refreshment rooms' for drivers of long route vehicles to help reduce road accidents.

DOTI, Oct 11: Police have set up 'refreshment rooms' for drivers of long route vehicles to help reduce road accidents. 



According to the District Police Office, the refreshment rooms have been brought into operation at Pipalla and Budar of Dipayal.

District Police Spokesperson DSP Lal Bahadur Dhami informed that the rooms have been put in place for long-distance vehicle drivers to take rest for some moments, especially during the night time. 


Arrangement for toileting has also been made for passengers in the refreshment room area. 


Police also have arranged cafeteria nearby the refreshment room, established at Budar with support from local people and business persons. 


Police shared that the rooms brought into operation especially targeting the night vehicles will be in place up to Chhath festival.
