KATHMANDU, June 1: Reiterating their long-standing call for amending the country's constitution, Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN) and Samajbadi Party Nepal (SPN) registered a constitution amendment bill at the Parliament Secretariat on Monday.
General Secretary of the Federal Parliament, Bharat Raj Gautam said that the constitution amendment bill was registered as a private constitution amendment bill late Monday afternoon.

RJPN leader Laxman Lal Karna registered the bill while SPN leader Rajendra Shrestha seconded it, according to RJPN leader Keshav Jha.
The two Madhes-based parties' constitution amendment bill comes at a time when the government has presented another constitution amendment bill at parliament for discussion to amend the constitution in a bid to change the country's national emblem as per the changed political map.
