SANKHUWASABHA, Jan 26: Locals have been elated over the speedy construction of a road from Sankhuwasabha's commercial hub, Bazaar Pokhari, to Nundhaki.
The Dhodung Kunsaling JV Company, who was awarded a contract for road construction, has expedited the works. The 21-KM road is to be constructed at the investment of Rs 107.94 million. An organization namely UNNATI has funded for the road construction.

According to contractor Sitaram Tamang, the locals are also providing support in their bid to expedite road construction. Over 30 per cent works have been accomplished during six months of the project, which he said is a good success.
Chainpur municipality Mayor Bharat Kumar Khatry said the municipality has been strictly monitoring the construction of road towards maintaining quality.
The road is expected to promote internal tourism, said Sankhuwasabha District Coordination Committee Chief Suman Shakya.(RSS)
