HoR meeting put off for 15 meeting after RSP’s protest

KATHMANDU, June 27: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has disrupted a House of Representatives (HoR) meeting on Tuesday demanding the government to revoke its decision to merge the District Election Office with District Administration Office (DAO).

KATHMANDU, June 27: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has disrupted a House of Representatives (HoR) meeting on Tuesday demanding the government to revoke its decision to merge the District Election Office with District Administration Office (DAO).



The RSP interrupted the proceedings at the beginning of the meeting, expressing dissatisfaction over the decision to dissolve the District Election Office.The Speaker Devraj Ghimire put off the meeting for 15 minutes following the RSP’s protest.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire said that the Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat is scheduled to address the concerns raised on the matter later today. However, the RSP refused to accept this response and continued to disrupt the meeting.


Finance Minister Prakash Saran Mahat is scheduled to speak during Tuesday's session.
