"The Standing Committee's decision to take action against Oli must be conveyed to the EC before endorsing the same from the party's Central Committee meeting because the EC does not recognize the Standing Committee," Pokharel said.

In the letter, the NCP said that the Central Committee meeting will endorse the Standing Committee's decision of taking action against Oli. The party has also provided reasons to the EC for taking action against Oli, Pokharel said.

The Standing Committee members close to the Dahal faction of the NCP on Sunday decided to take disciplinary action against Oli.
