KATHMANDU, Jan 13: Saroj Krishna Ghimire, Sandeep Lamichhane's lawyer, has said that Lamichhane should be given the captaincy of the national cricket team again as he has been released from jail.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Ghimire said that Lamichhane, who was arrested and put in jail on the charge of raping a minor, should be given the captaincy again after his release. Ghimire is currently looking into Lamichhane's case.

On Thursday, the Patan High Court ordered Lamichhane to be released from prison on a bail amount of Rs 2 million.
Lamichhane filed an application at the Patan High Court against the order given by the Kathmandu District Court on November 4 to keep him in custody until the final decision of the case in the minor rape case.
After hearing on the same petition, the high court ordered his release on bail. Following the court’s order, Lamichhane is going to be released on Friday after posting the bail of Rs 2 million. Lamichhane is accused of raping a 17-year-old minor.
