DANG, June 25: The government has taken all necessary measures to ensure safe polls, Home Minister Janardan Sharma said on Sunday as he urged voters to take part in the polls without any hesitation and fear.

“The government has done everything to hold polls in a free and fair manner. We have given utmost care to provide safety and security of voters, candidates and election officers,” Sharma said here while addressing a rally in Ghorahi.

“Our preparations would mean little if voters do not cast their votes. I appeal voters to support the government in making polls a success by taking part in it without any hesitation and fear,” said Sharma.

Minister Sharma addressed seven rallies in various places of Dang district on Sunday.

Officials at the Ministry of Home Affairs say that around 100,000 security forces have been mobilized across the three provinces that are going to polls on June 28.
