KATHMANDU, Dec 21: The senior-most member of the House of Representatives (HoR), Pashupati Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana has taken the oath of office and secrecy.
He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by President Bidya Devi Bhandari at a ceremony held at the Office of President of Nepal, Rashtrapati Bhawan, (Sheetal Niwas) on Wednesday.

It is customary for the members of the HoR to be sworn in by the senior-most member after s/he is sworn in by the head of state. The ceremony was attended by Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, chairman of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Acting Chief Justice Harikrishna Karki and others.
