KATHMANDU, August 26: Rajan Koirala, Chair of Dhulikhel Municipality Ward No. 2 in Kavre district, passed away last night.
Koirala was attacked near his home while returning after selling milk in the market on August 20 and was found lying unconscious at Rabiopi. Seriously injured in the attack, Koirala was receiving treatment at Norvic Hospital, Kathmandu, for six days, District Police Office, Dhulikhel said.

The Ward Chair, elected from the CPN (UML), leaves behind his wife, three sons and parents. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mahendra Marasini said that the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) is carrying out a search for the guilty. RSS
