7 including former state minister die in Dhankuta road accident

DHANKUTA, July 28: Seven people including former Minister of State for Finance Hariraj Khewa were killed when a passenger bus (Ba 2 Kha 7366) skidded off the road in Sindhuwa on Thursday.



The bus with 50 passengers on board, en-route to Dhankuta from Mudhe Shanishware, veered off the Sindhuwa road and fell some 60 feet down the road.

“Former Minister of State for Finance Hariraj Khewa is among the seven passengers who lost their lives during the accident,” Superintendent of Police Bhibhuti Raj Pandey told Republica Online over the phone.


More than 27 passengers sustained injuries, some critically, in the accident.  The injured were taken to Dharan for treatment after rescue, police said.
