KATHMANDU, Jan 18: The Community Club of Shubhashree College of Management has provided cash support to provide books for community schools in remote areas.
The amount collected by the students was handed over to the representatives of UWS Nepal and the Kitab Bazar for the purchase of books in a program organized at the college in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
In the program, the president of the Community Club, Supriya Rajbhandari, and other students belonging to the club handed over Rs 13,600 in cash to representatives of UWS Nepal and Kitab Bazar to purchase books for the community school of rural areas of Nepal.

The Community Club conducted a fundraising event named 'A Slice of Joy for a Noble Cause', in which the students organized a cake-mixing event and sold cakes to raise funds to provide books to children in rural areas.
“We took this initiative because we believed that even small contributions can make a big difference. We wanted to set an example that giving back to society doesn't necessarily require grand gestures. Small, consistent acts of kindness and contribution can have a significant impact over time,” said Club President Rajbhandari.
Speaking at the program, Sampada Uprety, representative of UWS Nepal, mentioned that books are one of the important resources for learning and thanked the students of Shubhashree College of Management for providing financial help to provide books for community schools in rural areas.
Similarly, the principal of the college, Manita Oli, highlighted that this initiation of the students is praiseworthy and the college will continue to encourage as well as support students to conduct extra-curricular activities in future as well.
Earlier, the Community Club of the college also organized blood donation, health camp and cleanliness program in Pashupati area.
Shubhashree College is currently offering BHM and BBA Programs and is affiliated with Pokhara University.
