Singapore Airlines responds to Dashain festival demand with Boeing 787-10 series aircraft for Nepal flights

KATHMANDU, July 24: Singapore Airlines, the prestigious flag-carrier of Singapore, is all set to enhance passenger experience during the upcoming Dashain festival by introducing the Boeing 787-10 series aircraft for its Nepal flights.

KATHMANDU, July 24: Singapore Airlines, the prestigious flag-carrier of Singapore, is all set to enhance passenger experience during the upcoming Dashain festival by introducing the Boeing 787-10 series aircraft for its Nepal flights.



Currently operating flights through Boeing 737 Max, the airline has decided to utilize the advanced capabilities of the Boeing 787-10 series aircraft from September 25 to November, aligning with the heightened travel demands during the festive season.

During Dashain, the demand for travel to and from Nepal significantly increases. Sudhir Pandey, official director of GSA Everest Express Tours and Travel, acknowledged the surge in passengers transiting through Singapore to reach Kathmandu. Considering this demand, Singapore Airlines has proactively planned to deploy the Dreamliner with a spacious capacity of 337 seats.


Commencing on Tuesdays and Fridays for a month, this service is expected to effectively meet the passengers' needs during the festive period, according to Director Pandey.


Currently, the airline's regular flights are maintaining an impressive 90 percent occupancy, reflecting the high level of trust and preference among travelers for Singapore Airlines' services.


As a globally recognized airline, Singapore Airlines has been crowned the world's best airline for the fourth time, a testament to its commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. The airline operates seven commercial flights per week in Nepal, providing seamless connectivity and top-notch service to passengers.
