Six RSP lawmakers to be deployed in six municipalities of Illam from today

KATHMANDU, March 1: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is dispatching its MPs to Ilam today in preparation for the upcoming by-elections scheduled for April.

KATHMANDU, March 1: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is dispatching its MPs to Ilam today in preparation for the upcoming by-elections scheduled for April.



As per the RSP's announcement, six MPs will reach six different municipalities of Ilam later today. They are slated to engage with the citizens of Ilam during their visit and are expected to return the day after tomorrow.

The RSP has designated Sobita Gautam for Ilam Municipality, Ganesh Parajuli for Deumai Municipality, Manish Jha for Mai Municipality, Ashok Chaudhary for Chulachuli Rural Municipality, Hari Dhakal for Mangsebung Rural Municipality, and Ashim Shah for Phakphokthum Rural Municipality.


Additionally, RSP has appointed Joint General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti as the election commander for Ilam constituency number two.


Following the demise of CPN-UML lawmaker Subash Chandra Nemwang on September 12, 2023, the Ilam constituency number two seat has remained vacant. The Election Commission has scheduled the by-election for April 27 to fill this vacancy.
