BAITADI, Aug 21: A six-year-old girl was mauled to death in a leopard attack at Talloswarad locality in Baitadi on Saturday.
Hari Chandi's daughter Chanchala Chand from Makail Byaldham of Udayadev – 9 was killed in the attack, local Birendra Mahata told the National News Agency (RSS).
The girl was playing at the front yard of her house when the leopard attacked. The leopard took the girl and her mutilated body was found at 10 pm after an intensive search 400 meters away from her house. The girl is a second grader at Gangeshwor Primary School.
District Police Office-Baitadi has said that more details would follow once a police team reaches the incident site which lies at one and a half days' walking distance from district headquarters. The leopard attacks in Talloswarad have claimed 20 lives so far. RSS
