POKHARA, April 15: The first ever skating centre is currently under construction within the vicinity of the Pokhara stadium here.
Dome to be built at Pokhara Exhibition Centre
The centre which bears the hallmarks of an international level is first of its kind in Nepal. The Western Regional Sport Development Committee will complete the construction of the skating centre within 21 days and spend a budget of $ 25,000, Committee's Regional Chairman Khagraj Poudel said.
The primary aim of the skating centre is to produce skating athletes who can represent Nepal in the next Olympic Games.
A total of 35 foreigners from India, the US, France, Belgium, Japan, Germany, South Korea, Norway and Canada among other countries are giving their labour donation to help build the skating centre's infrastructure. RSS
