The DoTM has in a year issued over 100,000 smart licenses in the Bagmati zone.

The system was introduced in the Bagmati Zone last year with financial assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The ADB provided monetary aid of Rs 230 million to the department for introducing the new license system.
