Snake-bite claims ward chairman

BIRATNAGAR, Jun 7:  A 35-year-old man on Wednesday night died after being bitten by a venomous snake in the Morang district.



The deceased has been identified as Baliram Bhagat, ward chairman of Dhanpalika rural municipality-2, informed Area Police Office, Rangeli.

He was bitten by the snake when he went out of his house for a natural call.


Bhagat, who was rushed to Biratnagar-based Golden Hospital, breathed his last while undergoing treatment.
