Software used for collecting health related data, providing service

GALKOT, May 5: Narayansthan Management Committee of Baglung municipality-14 has introduced software to garner health-related information of the people.



A health post at Narayansthan shared that the software had been useful for easy and quick collection of the health related data of 4,700 persons. The software technology was installed at the cost of Rs 80,000 which was provided by Baglung municipality and Office of Ward No 14.

The software has stored information as immunization of children, nutrition status, number of pregnant women and their health condition, family planning records, people living with the non-communicable disease like diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney ailment, cancer. Even the population based on age groups is in the software, health post-Chief Rishiram Sharma.


Mayor of Baglung municipality, Janakraj Poudel, said all offices would be equipped with technology. For the same, the software was introduced. "We're collecting data on every individual. Introduction of the computer application for collection of health related data is an exemplary work in the country." Similarly, the health post-Chief Sharma added the software was named web-based health profile. With the collection of the data, delivery of health service would be further effective and the planning objective.
