KATHMANDU, Dec 2: Speaker Onsari Gharti on Friday called on President Bidya Devi Bhandri at the latter’s official residence in Sheetal Niwas.
Speaker Gharti, who reached Sheetal Niwas this morning, apprised Bhandari of the latest activities of the Parliament and her Russia visit held recently.

Gharti informed the President to have held talks with the leaders including Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and chairman of the main opposition party CPN-UML in a bid to iron out the differences seen among the political parties of late.
"The leaders have expressed commitment to resolve the differences seen among the political parties," said Gharti, expressing readiness to leave no stone unturned to create environment conducive for agreement among the political parties.
In response, President Bhandari asked Gharti to take the parliamentary proceedings forward by striking deal among the political parties.
