KATHMANDU, Jan 20: Speaker Devraj Ghimire is taking the oath of office and secrecy today.
Ghimire is taking the oath at the Office of the President at Shital Niwas today at 11AM.

There is a provision in the rules of parliament that the President administers the oath of office and secrecy to the Speaker. In Thursday's Speaker election in the House of Representatives, Ghimire, who became a candidate for Speaker on behalf of the ruling coalition, was elected by getting 167 votes.
