Speaker’s Cup Nat’l Women’s Volleyball to start today

POKHARA, Jan 14: Departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) Club will start the second Speaker’s Cup National Women’s Volleyball Tournament facing Province 1 on Tuesday in Pokhara.

POKHARA, Jan 14: Departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) Club will start the second Speaker’s Cup National Women’s Volleyball Tournament facing Province 1 on Tuesday in Pokhara. 



The second match will see the other departmental team Nepal Police Club play against Gandaki Province on the day. 


The tournament, being organized by the Western Regional Sports Development Committee and with the technical support from the Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA), will be played in league cum knockout format.

A total of 10 teams will take part in the tournament including seven provincial and three departmental sides.


A total of Rs 2 million has been provided to organize the tournament.  


The winner of the tournament will be rewarded with Rs 350,000, while the runner-up will take home Rs 175,000. Likewise, the third-placed team will be given Rs 100,000, while the fourth-placed team will receive Rs 25,000.


The best spiker, the best setter, the best libero, the best blocker, the best server and the best coach will receive Rs 5,000 each, while the best player of the tournament will be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs 10,000, informed the tournament coordinator Dipak Bahadur Godar.
