Spiny Babbler Evolution arts and education program curated a virtual music festival ‘Spiny Babbler Children’s Music Festival II' on September 12. In the festival, a total of 25 participants aged between two to 14, from Nepal and abroad showcased their musical talent.
Among the performers were 23-month-old Zoya who shared her enjoyment of the voice, piano, flute, and flute. Nine-year-old Aarambha Dhakal played Sindhuli Gadhi Ghumera Herda on flute; 10-year-old Samyak Singh Thapa played Resham Firiri on the piano; and Sneha shared her knowledge via a presentation on Indigenous Music of Nepal.

Beautiful tunes such as the Lok Shanti Dhun by Snigdha Chaudhary, Chyangba Hoi Chyangba by Bishes Sapkota and Rato Ra Chandra Surya by Angel Paudel made everyone's heart dance in joy. Piano music featuring Imagine by Vidheha and Mary had a little lamb by Aafreen added variety to the event.
Participants were from beyond the Nepali borders. Four-year-old Anna from the US East Coast, six-year-old Mahika from the West Coast, 10-year-old Asha Pradhan, 13 years old Aiden Pradhan, eight years old Amulya Thapa, nine years old Aayan Amatya and Adishree Thapa presented their talent in music. Aadit sang out a Nepali poem.
A press statement released by Spiny Babbler quoted, Joon Limbu, 10-year-old participant saying, "The festival is very much fun to watch and we enjoy ourselves a lot making music and watching it. It is always a unique experience.” Children from across Nepal: Dang, Sisneri, Butwal, Jhapa, Kirtipur to Kathmandu celebrated their creativity and understandings in music during the event.

The press statement added that Spiny Babbler Evolution will continue to present the work of children online every first of the month. The next festival will celebrate the Civilizations of Nepal and around the World.
