Yesterday I bought a new pencil
It requested me, “I don’t want to be killed"
I kept my sharpener aside
And my pencil started to narrate its story with tears' tide.
“Small branch I was
So weak with the absence of eye
One day I felt an instant pain
In forlorn I remained with nothing to gain
Someone detached me from my family
Blind I was but the next spell found me in a different tally
A story of two students...
I felt my weaker crease going off
And a machine gulped me; to escape from there was very tough
I was pulled out with the same hand
Same as that which had detached me from my band
Around me I suddenly felt brightness and lights
New look I got with written on me 'Kites'
Another hand caught me and kept me in a group
12 of us got supplied to a shop as a troop
Giants (Humans) came and demolished every one of my dudes
And finally you came and bought me along with different goods."
As I finished hearing I started regretting about our deeds
We exterminate trees to accomplish our egoistic needs
And here's my cautioning: please do accept-
"Amparar* trees or in future nothing's going to be left."
(Amparar* is a Spanish word that means protect)
