Stranded Nepali workers reach embassy in UAE

ABU DHABI, Oct 3: 22 stranded Nepali workers have reached Nepal Embassy in Abu Dhabi. They reached at the embassy with the help of NRN-UAE.

ABU DHABI, Oct 3: 22 stranded Nepali workers have reached Nepal Embassy in Abu Dhabi. They reached at the embassy with the help of NRN-UAE.



The workers had reached UAE in visit visa paying high amount to brokers in Nepal. Directors of Pandora Incorporation Pvt Ltd, Keshav Thapa, Ramesh Kunwar and Dinesh Lama Moktan tempted them of attractive jobs and remuneration in UAE two months back.

They were forced to leave the rented room in Ajman on Saturday midnight after which, chairperson of NRN-UAE Ramesh Shrestha rescued them and managed to reside in his own company.


According to Shrestha, now the victims are in the embassy and they will live in embassy until they return to Nepal. NRN-UAE will manage other basic needs, informed Shrestha.


NRN-UAE has urged the embassy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and other stakeholders to take initiation to take against the broker and compensate the victims.


Embassy sends letter to MoFA and MoHA


Following the rescue of the victims and receiving the letter from NRN-UAE, the embassy of Nepal in UAE has written a letter to MoFA, Ministry of Home Affairs(MoHA) and other stakeholders to take strong action against the culprit. The embassy has assured that the government will drag the culprit to the justice.
