Before the photo session, he groomed both his sons with new clothes, just for the photos. He has lived and worked all his life in his village. "I can remember only two members in the family- my father and I. I lost my mother when I was a child. Father sent me to school. The major problem then was food. We could only manage one meal for a day. It was either lunch or dinner. We could afford either of them. I remember, me and my father survived only on gittha for weeks. I did not want to continue living like that. So I started working for a road construction project. I carried the materials to build the road. After this, I got interested in farming. I dug the fields and soon formed terraces where I could cultivate different crops," said Kiran Chepang, 34. Chepang is from Jogimara, Dhading. He married Rami Chepang . He has worked as a peon in Kosrang Adharbhoot School for almost three years now. "Food was not served to the students at my school back then. Now, I cook for the children. Just to kill their hunger of education and food, the students come to school," said Kiran. He earns about Rs.5500 per month and he also is a farmer. He manages to send expenses to his daughters, who are studying in Dhading. "I will always support their education," said Kiran.
