Submit evaluation report within six months: Development committee to NPC

KATHMANDU, March 16: The meeting of the development committee of the Legislature-Parliament has ordered the National Planning Commission (NPC) to submit the periodic evaluation report of the current Five Year Plan to the government within six months.

KATHMANDU, March 16: The meeting of the development committee of the Legislature-Parliament has ordered the National Planning Commission (NPC) to submit the periodic evaluation report of the current Five Year Plan to the government within six months.



The meeting held on Wednesday, the committee ordered the NPC to make necessary arrangement for the Third Party Evaluation Committee, comprised of experts and scholars within one month and to submit the report within the slated time from the time of formation of the evaluation committee.

The committee summoned the officials of the NPC, including the Vice-Chairman, members and the Secretary, on Wednesday and directed the government and the NPC to register the necessary bills in the Legislature-Parliament within a month, related for the accomplishment of the Projects of National Pride through fast track.


Likewise, the committee has urged the NPC to make the upcoming projects federal-friendly, citing that the country has already adopted the new structure of the local level.
