Both of his parents are driven towards their goal of producing a champion who will represent Nepal in the international arena and so far they haven’t been disappointed. Having both parents in the same field has helped the young athlete. He is humble even though he has maintained his position as the No. 1 tennis player in Nepal.
“I have a long way to go”, he says, as he talks about representing Nepal internationally. He has already participated in games such as the South Asian Games that took place in India in 2015. He has also participated in the ITF14 and Under Junior World Championship where he participated in the group two category held in Kuching, Malaysia. He was the winner of Chang Thai National Open Junior Tournament in Bangkok, Thailand. He came third during the Qatar Asian Junior Tennis Team Cup in Doha, Qatar and managed to be the first runner up in the Toyota Road to the Olympics tournament held in Bangkok, Thailand.
With titles like these under his belt, the No. 1 tennis player of Nepal hopes to continue his journey by qualifying for tournaments from Division I, which means he will be competing with the best players of his age group. “After every win, I am reminded just how much farther I have to go to reach my goal,” he shares. Samrakshak understands that he needs to put in a lot of hard work and dedication to compete with international players.
