Talks with this group started on Sunday. Koirala said, 'Both parties are concerned about the ways to solve the problem on behalf of the victims. So, the main issue is how to proceed with the process."

Earlier on April 1, the Ministry of Home Affairs had reached a five-point agreement with the first group of loan sharking victims. Saying that the agreement is incomplete, the current Loan Shark Victims Struggle Committee (LSVSC) has put forward six-point demand. They formed a negotiation team of 19 people with coordinators from 18 districts.

Awadesh Kushwaha, the coordinator of Struggle Committee, said that all the documents in the name of loan sharking should be declared illegal, the case against them should be postponed and the judgment should be reviewed. Similarly, they have also demanded the government to cancel arrest warrant issued against them, released those arrested in banking crime cases and investigate the property of loan sharks.
