Teachers return to schools to compensate missed teaching and learning activities due to school closures

KATHMANDU, Sept 23: The Nepal Teachers' Federation (NTF) has announced that it will provide substitute classes for the two days of teaching that were missed due to the teachers' protest centered in Kathmandu.



In a statement released by NTF President Kamala Tuladhar and Laxmikishor Subedi, community school teachers have been encouraged to make up for the disrupted classes during the school closure. The NTF thanked all the teachers and employees who participated in the protest, emphasizing the significance of the six-point agreement reached with the Government of Nepal on Friday.

As the protest activities are suspended, teachers from outside Kathmandu have begun returning to their classrooms. While expressing their dissatisfaction with the School Education Bill-2080 BS presented in the parliament, the NTF organized a protest in Kathmandu on September 20, 21, and 22. Two days of educational sessions were disrupted due to a public holiday on September 20.
