She said, “The country needs skilled manpower. That's why the government has prioritized technical education in the budget; technical education has also been included in the Common Minimum Program brought by the current coalition government.” Noting that Nepal has a large number of manpower with skills, she emphasized that the Education Act should address not only education but also manpower with skills in the form of informal education.

She pointed out that all the youths of the country should be given skills and employment should be created by creating skilled manpower. Minister Sharma said that there is a misconception that people come to the CTEVT to study technical education only because they cannot study other subjects, so it is necessary to change this thinking.

Emphasizing that the policy of studying while earning should be practically implemented in Nepal's education, Minister Sharma said, “Education in Nepal is becoming more expensive, so the government has brought the policy of studying while earning. It has to be implemented.”

She said that there was a competition of sorts among schools to get as many as technical education programs approved from the CTEVT as possible. Stating that the government is currently prioritizing the Education Act and the Civil Service Act, she said that even though the country has adopted a federal setup, the Education Act is old so the government is planning to amend the Education Act soon.
