UADAYAPUR, Dec 16: A 14-year-old girl in Udayapur district was found hanging in her room on Friday evening.
Radhika Timsina, an eighth-grader originally from Katari, had been working as a maid in the house of Sushil Sedhain of Belka Municipality-4. Sedhain is also the chairperson of Nepali Congress (NC) in Belka. According to the Area Police Office (APO), Thoksila, it is still to be confirmed whether Timsina committed suicide or was murdered.

Inspector Nabin Kumar Singh, chief of the APO, informed Republica that the girl was found hanging in her room when they reached the incident after being informed about the death. When asked whether it was a murder or suicide, he said it could not be ascertained yet though it looks like suicide. He instead urged everyone to wait for the post-mortem report.
Inspector Singh further said that the girl was bleeding from the vagina and one of her toes was touching the ground. This has made the case more suspicious.
Police have already handed over the body to the relatives on Saturday after conducting a post-mortem at a local health post of Beltar, but the report is yet to come. Police said they are awaiting the post-mortem report before carrying the investigation process ahead.
