The party needs unity: Deuba

DHARAN, Jan 4: Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the party will be united.

DHARAN, Jan 4: Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the party will be united.



Addressing an inauguration program of the newly established Nepali Congress office in Dharan-2 on Tuesday, he emphasized the need for unity within the party and said that unity would strengthen the party and the government. “Unity in the party is necessary for the future of the party. For unity, all the friends of the party must be united,” said President Deuba. “I am confident that it will start from Dharan.”

Deuba also said that the by-election had proved wrong the notion that Congress would never win in Dharan. He said that he was reelected as the party president with the support of all. “This is my last term, it is my responsibility to unite the party, and that is my interest,” Deuba said. “The party cannot be united without support from all party members. Therefore, if the party members from all over the country walk together, the party can also become one.”
