JANAKPURDHAM, July 4: Three young girls drowned in a public pond in Dhanauji Rural Municipality in Dhanusha.
The victims were identified as Muskan Khatun, 11, Ajmeri Khatun, 10, and Jinnat Khatun, 9. According to Spokesperson at District Police Office, Dhanusha, DSP Ranjan Awa, the girls went to bathe in the pond without informing their families and drowned as they could not swim.

Their bodies were recovered after a search. The dead bodies have been taken to the provincial hospital in Janakpurdham for post-mortem following the completion of legal procedures.
