Two months ago, the Biratnagar Metropolitan City office banned the parking of vehicles on the main road and the busy internal roads.

Mayor Nagesh Koirala claims that he has banned parking on the streets by making alternative arrangements for parking. But the traders have been disobeying for the past few days saying that their business has gone down following the ban on parking.

In defiance of the traders, the vehicles parked on the road have been locked by the metropolitan authorities. The traders closed the market demanding they be allowed to park their vehicles on the streets.
