Transit points sealed off for polls

BIRATNAGAR, Dec 5: Nepal-India transit points in Morang, Sunsari and Ilam district have been sealed off today morning as part of security arrangement for the December 7 elections.

BIRATNAGAR, Dec 5: Nepal-India transit points in Morang, Sunsari and Ilam district have been sealed off today morning as part of security arrangement for the December 7 elections.

The decision to this effect was taken from a meeting between officials of both Nepal and India, and the closure imposed at 12 am will remain for the next 72 hours until the polls are completed, said Morang's Chief District Officer Ram Prasad Acharya. 


Likewise, security has been stepped up in all the transit points in view of the polls, he added. RSS
