Truck hits one to death at Kathmandu’s Jadibuti Chowk

KATHMANDU, Aug 20: A person died after being struck by a cargo truck at Jatibuti Chowk in the capital on Thursday.



The truck (Na 6 Kha 2917) en route to Bhaktapur from Kathmandu hit the pedestrian who was crossing the road under the pedestrian bridge. The man died while undergoing treatment at the Trauma Center.

The deceased has been identified as Dhan Bahadur Karki, 44, from Indrawati Rural Municipality-7. He was identified based on the voter’s identity card.


Police have impounded the truck and arrested the driver, Reg Bahadur Pokhrel from Sarlahi.
