KATHMANDU, March 16: The official twitter handle of the Prime Minister of Nepal has been hacked since Thursday morning.



The twitter handle of the Prime Minister with the username @PM_nepal_ has been hacked. Two unauthorized tweets have been retweeted from the PM’s official twitter handle.


The last official tweet from the twitter handle was posted 21 hours before this news was written.

"Education is not only a means of social and cultural development but also the most important aspect of prosperity and development of the country,” speech delivered at the opening of the Sixth National Convention of the Central Committee of the Unified All Nepal Teachers' Organization in National City Hall, Kathmandu, the last official tweet reads. 


Official information about this has not been released by the Prime Minister's Office and Secretariat. Prime Minister's Press Coordinator Suryakiran Sharma informed Republica about the problem on Twitter handle. "There has been a problem since yesterday. Some tweets have been retweeted as well. Technicians are trying to solve the problem. It will be resolved shortly,” he said.
