JHAPA, Aug 17: Two people were killed and other three injured in separate accidents that took place in Jhapa and Sunsari in the past 24 hours.
Sabitra Niraula, 40, of Madhumalla-7, Morang died in a road accident happened Tuesday at Topgachhi, Jhapa along the east-west highway. Niraula, a pillion rider on a motorcycle (Me 2 Pa 2290), died after a bus (Na 6 Kha 2299) hit the motorcycle. Motorcyclist Padam Bahadur Gahatraj of Madhumalla was injured in the accident. He is being treated at Damak-based Lifeline Hospital, the District Traffic Police Office, Jhapa said.
Three dead, eight hurt in separate accidents
Achyut Dhungana, 32, of Charpane, Jhapa died when a car (Ba 7 Cha 1527) he was traveling in went off the road and hit a culvert at Bhokraha-9, Sunsari. He was the office chief of Sahara Nepal, Inarwa branch.
Car driver Mahesh Guragain, 30, of Inaruwa-6 and Narayan Pokhrel who was riding on the same car were injured in the accident. They are under treatment at Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, police said. RSS
